St. John's Lutheran Hospital offers rehabilitative services for physical, occupational, speech and other rehabilitation-related programs. We have two locations to give you convenient and comprehensive care, one in Libby and one in Troy. You may schedule appointments by stopping in or calling the office nearest you.

PHYSICAL THERAPY Let's Get On With Life!
Provides patients with hands-on personal care to assist and guide them during their recovery from an injury, surgery or painful and debilitating condition.
Our highly trained physical therapists provide comprehensive evaluations to develop an individualized plan of care to address the pain and movement that is limiting optimal health and function.
Treatments are designed to return patients to their maximum ability and independence as quickly and safely as possible.
Depending on the injury, a physical therapy program will consist of different types of treatments. These may include but are not limited to:
--Manual therapy (hands-on) including massage, joint mobilization, and trigger point therapy --Range of motion exercises --Aerobic conditioning --Strengthening/stabilization program --Modality treatments including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, & thermo/cryotherapy for pain control --Edema (swelling) control --Balance/Proprioceptive training --Neuro muscular re-education --Gait training --Taping/Splinting/Bracing

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY Helping Others, Help Themsleves
Focuses on helping people return to everyday activities, including self and home care, work, and leisure.
Major areas of treatment include: --Training in the use of adaptive equipment and/or techniques for functional independence and energy conservation. --Techniques to improve strength, mobility, and, coordination, especially in relation to arm and hand injuries. --Treatment of cognitive and visual-perceptual deficits, including low vision rehabilitation. --Specific work-related training, testing, & treatment. --Job site assessment and adaptation.
SPEECH THERAPY Express Yourself...
Identifies and treats a wide range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders from infants to geriatrics by:
--Using voice/language exercise to help patients develop effective communication skills. --Helping patients comprehend spoken language and communicate thoughts, feelings, and experiences. --Addressing physical problems through exercise to improve swallowing and speech function. --Providing standardized tests and informal assessments of expressive and receptive speech and language skills.
